Toothache - what to do if you have a toothache?

Dental diseases.
Toothache may occur when there is an influence of irritant (heat, cold, chemicals or solid objects). This kind of toothache is typical for caries and pulpitis. If the toothache occurs spontaneously it indicates the inflammation of the pulp or apical periodontium.diente-sonriente-dolor-de-muelas-thumb5309173

The toothache duration depends on the degree of the pulp change. The normal tooth pulp does not react to the common mechanical, thermal and chemical irritants.

If while being affected by the irritant the toothache occurs rapidly, but after the irritant is removed it quickly disappears, most likely it is the disease of hard tooth tissues - caries, abrasion, hyperesthesia (the increased tooth sensitivity).

Continuous dull or acute toothache (pulling, pulsating) is typical for apical periodontitis, and paroxysmal toothache - for pulpitis. When pulpitis the toothache may last from several minutes to several hours but surely there are periods when the pain stops or insignificantly subsides. For pulpitis toothache the night attacks are typical. The toothache when inclining the head occurs with concrementous pulpitis.

The toothache is a signal of dental problems and diseases. The toothache occurs when the pathological process has already begun to develop, so in this case a visit to the dentist can not be put off.
